How is everybody doing this week? Personally I am having more problems than you can shake TWO sticks at but I can’t be down about it because the first part of the last story arc of Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 8 comes out this week written by series creator Joss Whedon. Its been months since the last issue surprised everyone with its kooky ending and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the end of season 8.

Most of our kids will be headed back to school in a week or so and while that is a bittersweet relief for parents, it makes us at Richmond Comix sad. Because of the hustle and bustle of getting prepared for school a lot of our friends don’t have time to pop buy and see us and pick up their books. Because of MANY factors we are keeping a much closer eye on the subscriber boxes so if you haven’t been in to pick up your books in over a month please come by or at the very least give us a call. We’ve had a lot of people up and disappear on us this year and we don’t want to cancel boxes of people who are just a little busy. In our minds if we haven’t seen you in two months or more you’ve robbed a bank with a group of college cheerleaders and are currently hiding out in Mexico. We know you don’t like the heat and the language barrier is a bit of an issue but we hope you find happiness down Mexico way. Drop us a postcard sometime.

In other less nonsensical news our Saturday hours have officially changed. We will now be open at 12:00 noon every Saturday. Games and events that usually started at 12:00 noon will now start at 1:00pm instead.

Speaking of games and events. Starting next week we will be running more Magic tournaments on Saturdays. This week we will have a M11 booster draft for a Baneslayer Angel. We have a great group of players here and we are always looking for new players so if you’ve been curious about the game or if you stopped playing and and been thinking about getting back in this is a perfect opportunity to do so.

In case you didn’t meet him this week Richmond Comix has a new employee. His name is Eric and he will be here Wednesday through Friday to help us make the store even better. If you haven’t been by in a while heckling the new guy seems like a fantastic excuse to come see us.
